Jane Beaumont Obituary

Jane Sullivan Beaumont Jane, much beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away August 13, 2007 in San Diego, CA, at the age of 89. Born September 4, 1917 in San Francisco, Jane lived the majority of her life in Millbrae, San Mateo and San Carlos before moving to San Diego in 2005. Jane had a lifelong passion for music, theater, and her eight children, all of whom grew up and attended school in San Mateo. Devoted wife to her husband, Robert George Beaumont, to whom she was married for 44 years until his death in 1989. Active member of the San Mateo community throughout the 1950s and 1960s; president of the San Mateo PTA in 1966-67; lifetime honoree of the PTA in 1967. Jane was the daughter of Frances Colburn Kelley and Edgar Francis Sullivan. She is preceded in death by her husband; her oldest son, Peter Bruce Beaumont; and her sister, Bettina Francis Sullivan. She is survived by her children Dr. Michael Beaumont of San Diego, Nancy McNeil of Stoughton, MA, Kathleen Mix of Pinole, Gary Beaumont of Gresham, OR, Patricia Beaumont of San Diego, Mark Beaumont of San Jose, and Richard Beaumont of Tiburon; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her beloved sister-in-law, Beatrice Anne (Beaumont) Weiner of Pebble Beach; and 14 nieces and nephews. Private services were held for Jane on August 18th in San Diego. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Burlingame Library Foundation, 480 Primrose Road, Burlingame, CA 94010 or Father Flanagan's Girls and Boys Town, 300 Flanagan Blvd., P.O. Box 7000, Boys Town, NE 68010.
