Jane Levinsohn Obituary

Mom was 93 when she left us. There are many wonderful things we could say about our mother, but she was in charge. She didn't want a memorial service or a long obituary. Amidst the piles of newspaper clippings on her desk are examples of obituaries she liked, and instructions: short and to the point.
The little postcard front and center on her refrigerator as long as we can remember says "Who will take care of the world after I'm gone?" That about sums it up. We wonder too.
Mom would want her friends to remember her and celebrate her life as they wish, maybe with a piece of dark chocolate See's. It wouldn't hurt. Mom, we miss you every day and love you forever.

Your mom was very sweet. I really enjoyed meeting her and having the chance to chat with her at Casa Mañana! I just happen to have a See's sucker upstairs that I'm going to go stick in my mouth right now to celebrate her and the things she brought to this world, including her kids!

We are sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. We don't have a See's store in TN (boy do we miss it!), but our mall (for the first year) has a pop-up See's store until Christmas. I was to the mall on Monday evening (and of course got my See's sample), and then I read your mom's obituary on Tuesday (and you mention celebrating her life with See's). It's the little things, like that, that will always show your mom's presence in the hearts of those she touched. Sending our condolences
