1917-2013
Jane "Jennie" Gertrude Mull of San Francisco passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2013. Born in 1917, in Upper Leitches Creek, Nova Scotia, to the late Charles MacIsaac and Margaret (Roach) MacIsaac, Jennie settled in California in her early 20s. Jennie was 95 years old and was predeceased by her husband, James G Mull and her sisters, Ellen Arthur, Kay Aikens, Elizabeth Harrie, Sara MacIsaac, Mildred MacIsaac, Thelma Doyle and brothers Steven, Henry and Charles MacIsaac.
She is survived by her sons, James Lee Mull of Antioch, CA and Gary Charles Mull of Menlo Park, CA; her grandchildren, James Jason Mull and Jeremy Scott Mull of Fremont, CA and Graham Patrick Mull of Chandler, AZ and Jennifer Melissa Mull of Menlo Park, CA, along with sisters Cecelia Lahey of Sydney NS, Patricia 'Patsy' Clark, Sydney Mines NS, and brother Martin MacIsaac of North Sydney NS.
Jennie focused her efforts on homemaking. She enjoyed family time at her summer cabin on the Russian River and was an avid reader. She loved knitting and was always tending her garden and pruning her roses, a talent she acquired from her grandmother in Nova Scotia. Until her passing, Jennie was active at St. Gabriel Catholic Church and enjoyed her "Girls Night Out" with neighborhood friends.
A memorial Mass will take place at St. Gabriel Church, 2559 40th Avenue San Francisco, CA 94116 at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 8th. Luncheon will be held following the Mass. Donations in lieu of flowers may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 1060 La Avenida, Mountain View, CA 94043 or the charity of your choice.
