Jason Hall Obituary

Jason Hammonds Hall

Nov 19, 1974 - Nov 29, 2016

Jason Hall of San Francisco died at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans after a long illness. Jason was a devoted father and fiercely loyal to his family and friends. Born in Fresno, Jason grew up near Firebaugh on the family farm that he loved, and later in Pebble Beach and Carmel where he attended Santa Catalina and Robert Louis Stevenson schools. After college at SMU, Jason returned to manage the family business with his father and develop his own nut and produce company, Oro Loma Ranch. Jason was an ambitious and successful businessman, pioneering new technologies in asparagus, pomegranate, and almond processing. Jason married Nicole LePage in 2002; they were married for 13 years and have a son, Jason Macajor, known as "Mac".
An avid sportsman, Jason enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing, sailing, and golf, and belonged to San Francisco Golf Club and the Bear River Club. Jason traveled widely, developing international agribusiness partnerships and exploring world cuisines. His many friends knew him as an accomplished chef, a quick wit, and a generous host.
He leaves behind Nicole and their son Mac; his mother Laurie Hall of Carmel, father Timothy Richard Hall of Firebaugh, brother Timothy McCajor Hall of Los Angeles, and sister Katherine MacDonnell of Rutherford, as well as many other family and friends. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at California Pacific Medical Center and at Ochsner for their excellent care, and the many friends and family members for their kindness, support, and prayers.
A memorial will be held at Santa Catalina School at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 14, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to CPMC Foundation, Ochsner Medical Center, or Santa Catalina School.

Tim, Laurie and family, I am so very sorry to learn of this devastating news today. I remember Jason when he was only a child, a sweet little boy who loved being on the farm. May he rest in peace.

Dear Hall family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I know nothing could have prepared you for something so sudden and tragic. Stay strong and may Jehovah help you to endure this trial.

"He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more. Neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

Take care,
O.J.
