Jean Ghiglieri Obituary

Jean L. Ghiglieri, the youngest of six children, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025 at the age of 93. Wife of the late Guido J. Ghiglieri; Mother to Ruth (Gary) and Michael (Geraldine); Nana to Matthew (Janelle) and Michelle (Matt); Bisnana to Lauren, Sandro, Dominic and Ellie; loving Aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Native San Franciscan, Jean spent her life in North Beach and enjoyed annual summer trips to Russian River with her family. She was an extraordinary seamstress always willing to create clothes from scratch or make alterations for her family and friends. When she wasn't sewing, you could find Jean at Sts. Peter and Paul's Church helping any way she could, making pizza, reading or spending time with family and friends.
A special thank you to the caregivers at Ageway and to the nurses at Medvista Health for their loving care.
Friends may attend the Viewing on Thursday, August 28th at 10:00 am with the Funeral Mass commencing at 10:30 am at Sts. Peter and Paul's Church, 666 Filbert St., S.F. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salesian Boys and Girls Club or Sts. Peter and Paul School.

I lived next door to Jean and Gig on Genoa Place in the '70s. They were sweet and kind and Jean and I shared lots of good laughs. Wish I'd kept up with her. Condolences to the family.

Jeanie was a wonderful lady. Our memories go back to summer in Russian River at Kelly´s Cottages. She and her sisters were our adopted Nonnies. She helped us with our clothing now and then.
