Dear Jeff, Michael and I were devastated to hear of Jean-Michel's passing. While we have not been in touch for some time, our memories of him are of fun times and a sarcastic wit! I cannot imagine the pain you are going through right now and wish there was some way for us to make it easier. We can only hope that he is at peace and surrounded by everlasting love. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help. If you need to get away, our door is always open in Los Angeles. With deepest sympathy, John Vergara and Michael Hayden (we left our contact info in your mail slot)

Shocked and deeply saddened by the loss of wonderful Jean-Michel. We will always hold him in our hearts, and cherish the memories, love and humor that he shared. His incredible wit, his sharpness, his fantastic taste, his ability to see through the bs and cut right to what is important, these were just a few of the things we love about Jean-Michel. He was so damn funny, so smart, and such a pleasure to be with. First as a client, then as a friend, forever as special and dear. We are heartbroken for Jeff, and for all of JM's family. Please know if there is anything we can do during this difficult time, we are here for you- now, and later, when 'the dust settles.' We love you, and miss you. Sending strength and energy, with tears.

My dear Jeff-
My heart is broken. I truly adored your Jean-Michel. His handsome face, his sharp wit and biting sense of humor, his charismatic style. He was the French version of my wacky Sicilian family; only he could really understand the drama! I felt such an inexplicable connection to him and will always and forever remember every meal you both shared at the restaurant, every hilarious conversation, every moment of shared stories of our intense family histories. He is and will always be so missed, so remembered, so loved.

As the pastoral minister at Our Lady of Lourdes I knew Jean Michel from the choir, his friendly greeting at liturgies and seeing him at 24Hour Fitness. He was a gift to our parish and I rely on his continued spirit accompanying us in the future.
Peace forever, Jean Michel!

I was so saddened to hear the news about Jean-Michel. Miche was my dear friend throughout business school, and I have so many fond memories of fun times with him. Although I didn't have the good fortune of meeting Jeff, my heart goes out to him and Miche's entire extended family. As we Jewish people say, his memory will forever be for a blessing.
