Joan Smith Obituary

Joan O'Connor Smith
02/20/1937 - 12/27/2024
Joan was a native daughter of San Francisco.
Predeceased by her father, mother, and two sisters, Joan was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her children: Eliot (Jeannine), Siovonne (Bob), Walter, Nicole (Paul); grandchildren (Diane, Louis, Colette, Amber, Brian), (Jean-Pierre), (Rachel, Jack, Dylan, Payton); great-granddaughter (Stevie); sister Annette, and nieces and nephews.
Joan was a woman of strong faith. She attended St. Cecilia's School, St. Rose Academy, and City College. A storyteller, she often shared stories from her past of people and days gone by. She liked to help others, and loved all animals, especially dogs.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Cecilia's Church on Friday, January 17th at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Anthony Foundation (www.stanthonysf.org) or SPCA (www.sfspca.org).
