Joe Jang
Joe Jang, 90, of Elk Grove, CA lived a full and joyous life before passing away peacefully on Sept 2, surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband for 64 years to Amy Jang; wonderful father of Mark (Karen), Eric (Mai), Alan (PinPin) and Patty (Tom); adoring grandfather and great-grandfather.
Born in San Francisco on March 7, 1922, he graduated from Courtland High and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1942. Following an honorable discharge in 1946 Joe attended Armstrong College. He married the love of his life, Amy Chan Jang on her birthday, Nov 22, 1947.
Joe had a successful grocery business with his brother, Edward operating Easthills Markets in the Hayward hills, for many years. Joe was a man of great character who demonstrated every day how to live life full of love, warmth and humor.
A private memorial service will be held. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Sept 14, 2012 at 12:30 PM at the Hong Kong Islander restaurant, 5675 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Asian Community Center or the American Cancer Society.

I wish to extend to you and to members of your family my deepest sympathy on your loss. May the Lord's loving promises comfort you and give you strength as you walk through this difficult time.
