John Perlite

Fr. John J. Perlite, S.J. Father John Julius Perlite, S.J., 91, died March 25, 2010 in Regis Infirmary at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center, Los Gatos. He had been a Jesuit for 73 years, a priest for 60. John worked for several years training future Jesuits as Master of Novices for the Brothers and treasurer for the theologate until 1980. John then went to Brophy College Prep in Phoenix. In 2001 he retired to Sacred Heart Jesuit Center. He was assigned to ministries which made many demands but gave little recognition, in which he gave a fine example of great dedication and generosity. He was an extraordinarily fine handball player whose devastating serves were unreturnable. In his last years he was a remarkable example of patient endurance. When asked what he did all day; his reply was "accepting it all." May he rest in peace. Father Perlite's funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center in Los Gatos on Tuesday, 6th at 10am. Committal will take place immediately following the Mass at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery in Santa Clara. Donations in memory of Fr.
