John Wester Obituary

John J. Wester
July 9, 1928 - January 23, 2022
John (Jean-Jacques) Wester passed away in January 2022 at the ripe old age of 93 of natural causes. He was born in Strasbourg, France way back in 1928 eventually emigrating to the US in 1948 to avoid French military service. However, the US army was all too happy to draft him for the Korean war where he served with honor. Subsequently, in 1951 John helped his parents and sister to emigrate to the US.
He was a great father to a son and daughter, a loving husband and a pretty nice guy. John was especially devoted to his late wife Sandy and their disabled daughter Anne. Throughout his life, John always thought towards the future, tried new business ventures, traveled and was incredibly organized. He was kind to animals, liked to tinker and do paperwork, ride his bike and see friends. He spent several of his remaining years with his son and family in Virginia.
He is survived by his son Marc, daughter-in-law Vonda, grandchildren Vasi and Madeleine, sister Paulette and nieces and nephews Dominic, Lisa, Seth, Luc, David, Michael, Robert and Yvette.
