I happened to run across Dr. Fink's obituary when I was thinking of people in my life who have made a difference. When Dr. Fink and I both worked at Richard J. Daley college in Chicago, Il., a course to become a registered nurse began. I was working as a purchasing agent to the business manager at the time. Dr. Fink came over to me and asked if I had ever considered being a nurse. I actually hadn't, but thought about what he had said to me in that conversation, and decided to apply for the nursing program. I feel that nursing has been my true ministry in life for 35 years. I retired 11 years ago, and I will always remember Dr. Fink as the person who recognized the gift(s) I had to become an RN. My condolences to the family. He sounds like he was an incredible human being.
