Joyce Salsbery Obituary

Joyce Z. Salsbery

Joyce passed away November 27, 2013 at the age of 86.  A native of San Francisco, Joyce was born February 7, 1927.  She moved to Palo Alto in 1951 and spent the past twenty years as a resident of Los Altos.  She was preceded in death by her husband William; father and mother, Victor and Evelyn Zachariah, and her sister Nancy Jelincich.  She is survived by her son William Carson (Jeanette), daughter Jacquelyn Hunt (James); sisters Diane Onken (Donald) and Vicki Mackintosh (Ronald); grandchildren Carl Worden, Russell Worden, Amy Flores and Adam Carson; great-grandmother to seven; aunt to Zack Rockwell, Gina Mackintosh, James Mackintosh, Michael Onken, and the late Roger Rockwell, John and  Christina Onken.  Joyce's passions were her family, golf, ballroom dancing and creating 3-Dimensional Decoupage Shadow Box art.  She was much loved and will be missed greatly.


Funeral Services will be held at The Los Altos Chapel of Spangler Mortuaries, 399 So. San Antonio Road, Los Altos at 10:00 a.m. on Monday November 9, 2013.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joyce's name can be made to one's favorite charity.
