Julene Carniglia Obituary

Julene Carniglia
July 11, 1936 - February 16, 2023
A Life Well Lived
On February 16, 2023, Julene Victoria Carniglia, loving daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away of natural causes. Julene was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Lorenzo Carniglia, and siblings Jack Carniglia, Lawrence Carniglia, Daniel Carniglia, and Carol Carniglia. Julene is survived by her sisters and brother in law, Mildred Faria, Gloria Carniglia, and Ken and Sandra Byrne, as well as her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Julene, a native Californian, lived the majority of her life in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco before moving to Cotati and Lake Tahoe; ultimately settling in San Bruno, CA. Julie was known as a fun and loving sister and aunt. She spoiled all the kids in her life and there was never a time she didn't have sweets to share. She loved to travel and had a special affinity for Lake Tahoe and Santa Cruz. Julie was always up for a casino and loved the slots. Julie loved her Italian heritage and shared her love of pasta and Italian food with all of us. Julie was an active member of the Italian Catholic Federation for many years and loved working all the events. Julie was also an active member of the St. Teresa church community for many years.
Julie treasured her independence and remained independent until the end. There are no words that can express how grateful and blessed we were to have had Julie in our lives. She will be truly missed but never forgotten.
Private services will be held in honor of Julie's wishes. Julie never wanted a big fuss. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Heart Association or Catholic Charities in her honor.
