Fern, "Look up to the hills" draw from the good times and memories.Mrs. Levy, the"ICON", your mother,is in a better place. She inspired me as a student to be the best that I could be. She was my "ICON" as a teacher, and role model from 1957-1961, and was like family because of her association with my ex-aunt-in-law Mae Autry Watson, who went on to glory before her.
God be with you at this time and this season.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. My deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

Although my heart is saddened at the thought of Ms Levy's homegoing, I am flooded with great memories of an elegant and wise woman who graced the halls of Hebert High School. She touched so many young people with her wisdom, and her ever encouraging words. Please know that the investment she made in us will never be forgotten. My God, who is matchless, will be your comfort and your strength in this hour. Our prayers are with you .... The Briscoe & Moye Families.

Fern,
Thanks for sharing your mother with me these last two years. We had a wonderful time visiting and talking on the phone. I loved the way she dressed, just like the beautiful lady I knew when I was a student at Hebert. She would smile when I called her Jazz. She didn't let any grass grow under her feet, always on the go and I loved it. God Bless You and Your Family.

Mrs.Levy was ''etiquette'' personified. She was prim and proper and always carried herself like a lady.
She was my teacher and we later became co- workers at Hebert School. In fact,I bought her house on So.5th Street which I still own although I live in Houston.
Fern,I know your bond with your Mother was super strong. She often talked about you.Cherish the wonderful times and great memories of her.She was quite a lady!!!!!!
Prayerfully,
Barbara Lincoln Thornton

My heart goes out to each of you in the loss of "Junu". She had such a lively personality that she can never be forgotten. I remember her smile and her laugh. Most of all I am extremely glad that I got to visit with her when I was in California this last time. That slow southern drawl of hers will ring in my ears every time she crosses my mind.
