Julia Malacos

Julia J. McCann Malacos Dec. 24, 1914 - June 29, 2010 Died at age 95, after complications from a fall. She was one of thirteen children born to Ross and Josephine Boatcallie. Born in Bryan, Texas she moved to San Francisco in the late 30's where she had a long career with Lilli Ann, prior to owning her own Pet Shop in the Mission. She had a high sense of style often making her own clothes and she lived life to the fullest. She loved to dance, sew, garden and after her marriage to George Malacos at age 70, enjoyed traveling. She is survived by her last sibling Rose Lazarone of Houston, Texas; her daughter Judith (Richard) Kell; grandchildren Peter (Lisa) Kell, Maureen (Mark) Middleton; two great grandchildren, Christopher and Eric Kell and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 2:00pm at First Presbyterian Church, 1500 Easton Dr., Burlingame, CA. Donations may be made to the CALL Center, Burlingame or to a charity of your choice.
