Katherine McMillan Obituary

Katherine Marie McMillan
(Katherine Marie Schultz) Kathy was born December 1, 1951 in Highland Park, Illinois and died peacefully with her family at her side on October 21, 2012 in Sacramento, California.
Kathy worked for Fireside Thrift Savings and Loan for 30+ years, as Director of Deposit Services. She retired from that job in 2008, shortly after her husband Bob, passed away.
In June 2012, Kathy had a kidney transplant with many complications following that surgery which took her from us in late October.
Kathy was a 60's girl, from bra burning, protesting the Vietnam War, traveling to Europe and all that went with that. A friend referred to her as a "Bohemian Chick", and that she was.
Her most enjoyable times were those spent with her dogs and traveling with her mother.
If you would like to make a donation please do so to the Tony La Russa ARF(Animal Rescue Foundation) or any "no-kill" animal shelter. As our younger sister said, "she is in a better place now with lots of puppies".
Please keep Kathy in your memories as the "true hippie girl" that she was. She will be missed.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Mary E. Boudinot of Marysville, Ca., and sisters, Peggy A. Fitz, Sacramento, Ca., Amy L. Balding, Kensington, Ca., and Eryn P. Seay, San Diego, Ca., two brothers-in-law and many nieces, nephews and good friends. She is also survived by her sweet dog, Buster, who provided her much comfort at the end.

Oh, how I remember Kathy as the cool big sister of my best childhood friend, Amy. When she would let us join the night pool party at her friend's house down the court, I thought, "man this is the life." I will always remember her laugh, although I haven't seen her for such a long time. Rest in Peace wonderful lady. Love, Sheri
