I had the privilege and pleasure to have worked with Keith at KKHI. I so enjoyed his wit and kindness and occasional emails through the last 25 years. I feel blessed to have known him. Margaret Victor

Keith at Classic Billiards

I am so sorry for the loss of Keith. I admired him a great deal. I first met him around ten years ago in the men's locker room at the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center in San Rafael. We talked and became friendly. Our first shared interest was the Italian Street Painting Festival. Later, we discovered a shared love of pocket billiards, and we played together several times at Classic Billiards in San Rafael, until I was no longer able to play. I've uploaded a picture taken at Classic Billiards to the Photo Gallery. After that, I saw him just at the JCC, but fortunately our schedules overlapped, and that occurred two or three times a week. We had frequent conversations in the locker room and the hot tub, which I always enjoyed. He told me a bit about his radio days, and I learned of his love of photography and online scrabble. Keith had a wonderful way about him - always polite, but with an underlying sense of humor. I was struck by how decent a man he was. He always treated everyone with respect, and made you feel good to be around him. I will miss him.

Simply said, he was the best and I still think of the wonderful way his very personal and unique voice sounded to my ear.

I listen to Mr. Lockhart for many years on KKHI and missed him when he was no longer on the air. Loved his calm voice and dry sense of humor.

I will miss the long talks we had. Watching your garden change with the seasons, while you nudged it into something you were proud of. Mostly, though, I'll miss the simple, everyday things: hearing the sound of the espresso machine warming up while you chopped fruit on the worn, wooden cutting board. Working on the daily crossword or word puzzle together, asking me for "help" on the easy ones. Your booming voice greeting me with an enthusiastic "Hi Laura!" at the airport, and everyone turning to look. Love you, dad.
