Kenneth Smith Obituary

Kenneth H. Smith

Ken Smith was born on December 24, 1927 to Frank and Stella Smith and passed away February 19, 2014 at the age of 86.  He joined the Merchant Marines at age 16 and then enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and served for 3 years. He worked as a warehouseman roasting coffee at S & W Fine Foods for 35 years.  Life-long SF 49er fan, he also enjoyed hunting and camping trips.  Long-time member of the Brisbane Rod & Gun Club.  His favorite hobby was searching for new additions for his coin collection.


He was the loving husband of the late Dolores M. Smith. He is survived by his beloved children Kenneth J. Smith and Donna Arago; cherished grandchildren Jeremy, Kenneth, Dawnell and Michael Smith and Angela, Nicole and Anthony Arago; dear siblings Pat, Lois and the late Donald and Marge. He is also survived by many loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and sisters-and-brothers-in-law.


Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service Friday 1:00pm at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City.  Committal Holy Cross Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Veterans Affairs, 10535 Hospital Way, Mather, CA 95655.
