Kit Thomas Obituary
January 18, 1961 – November 22, 2016
Kit Thomas passed away on Nov. 22, 2016, while visiting his family in Hilton, NY one last time. He crossed over peacefully while holding the hand of his husband of almost 30 years, Kirk Salanga.He will be deeply missed by his family and his many friends. Kit enjoyed Life fully and took great pleasure celebrating it with his loved ones. He was a proud member of the Space Cowboys and delighted in his many adventures with them. He had a wicked sense of humor, a brilliant smile and a tremendous love of the outdoors, especially for Yosemite National Park.
A private celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 21 at the SF Mint, 88 – 5th St, Mint Plaza, San Francisco, CA 94103. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation made in his name to the Yosemite Conservancy @ https://secure.yosemiteconservancy.org/donate/memorial.cfm

Unfortunately I just found out that Kit has passed. Kit 22 years ago let me live over them house briefly until I could go back to Italy. I never had the chance to thank him enough for the hospitality and generosity. Rest in peace

Just found out that Kit passed while I was on Facebook at the Hilton Reunion page. Kit was my 8th grade date. He did indeed have a sharp wit. He was a good friend with a great outlook on life and sense of humor back then, too. Good luck on your next adventure...
