Dear Foreman Family;
I am so sorry to hear of Lillian's passing. She and Hy were a huge presence in our family's life and I have fond memories of the friendship over many, many decades. Lillian was always fun, warm and entertaining.
My deepest sympathies to you all,
Stephanie Lachtman

Dear Robin, Ronald, and Jill,
Like many others, I wish to pay tribute to a life well lived.
On Friday, I was attending an OLLI course on American presidents of the twentieth century taught by John Rothmann. At the break he came over to my desk and gave me news about Lil's recent passing.
I got to know her, when I joined the board of the Bay Area Council for Soviet Jews. I warm friendship developed over the years that we served together.
I will always remember Lil for her energy, courage and grace that shown through in her service to others. What a woman! What a friend! What a life!

My deepest sympathy and sorrow to the family of this WONDERFUL woman. Although I only knew her for a short time, (as a caregiver), she was indeed someone that will stand out in my memory for many years to come. We shared giggles and wine and bingo games-plus dreams of the past and future. I am grateful for having known her.

Ron,
Your mother gave me some encouraging words when I needed them. You most likely never knew about that conversation. Can't say they changed my life, but at the time they meant something. After about 40 years, I still remember.

I remember what good neighbors Lillian & Hy and Robin were on Octavia St. I lost my husband Jack at the age of 52 and my husband Dick Fiedler this August 15th 92yrs old and know how much Lillian will be missed. My two sons Alan & Jack are a big help and I know her whole family will miss her.
