Lois Ann Blemer Lippincott, 91, of Orinda, California, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, following a sweet, calm, and loving transition.
Born on December 8, 1933, in Berkeley, California, Lois was a proud descendant of California pioneers. Her ancestry includes the Whitney family, known for helping develop Placer County, and the Tubbs family, founders of the historic Tubbs Cordage Company in San Francisco.
She graduated from Stanford University in 1955 with a degree in English and was an active member of the Rally Committee, where she helped foster school spirit and formed lifelong friendships during the spirited Big Game traditions.
Lois was a dedicated docent at the California Academy of Sciences, where she shared her passion for marine life with countless children through engaging tours around the Steinhart Aquarium
Lois is survived by her daughter, Lisa Lippincott, and grandson, Steven Richter, both of Arizona. She was predeceased by her daughter, Abby Lippincott, her beloved partner, Bob Gledhill, with whom she shared a beautiful love story. She was also predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Alan Lippincott. Her family finds comfort knowing she is at peace and will forever remain in their hearts.
