"LOLA, MOTHER,FRIEND"
I remember growing up in South San Francisco, going to All Souls Catholic School. My mother Lola, was a member of the Ladies Club and every year she was asked to model in their spring fashion show. She would always have her picture from the shows appear in the local newspaper, shown walking the runway. She was always complimented on her grace, beauty and of course those beautiful blue eyes! I remembered the happy times my family and I spent with her at their vacation house in Buckingham Park at Clear Lake, CA. We all had such great times with Grandma Lola! My mom loved her antique shops, which gave her a real sense of pride. She really had a keen business sense about her. She was very proud of her personal collection of antiques. I'm going to miss our long talks on the phone about "the good old days." I love you Mama! I will see you in Heaven some day!
Your oldest daughter,

The essence of my Grandma Lola's character can be remembered as living life to the fullest and hard working. I have great childhood memories of spending time at her house in Clear Lake, stopping on the way there for jaw breakers and acquiring the nickname "heartbreaker". Memories at her house on Delano of watching Roller Derby and feeling special eating TV dinners; visiting her antique store and one of my favorites: getting to take her to see WWF at the Oakland Coliseum for her birthday! She would teach me to make-up songs while listening to the rhythm of the rain against her window..."Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." My Grandma Lola always made everyone feel like you were special and loved! God has opened the doors of Heaven wide for you Grandma! I love you and may you R.I.P. I pray for peace and understanding to all family ....

To the entire familes of Lola I wish to extend my symphathies to you all. I had the pleasure of meeting Lola through Millie Rogovoy's daughter Debby. I met her when she lived in the city and was married to Gene. Her door was always open to welcome any freinds and family who haappened to stop by. Then when she moved to Martinez she would remember me when would see each other out shopping. As a Grandmother Lola had a gift of making everyone she met feel comfortable. Debby introduced me to a wonderful lady who I will always have fond memories. I know Millie, Debby, Scott, Michelle, Jessica, Elizabeth, Adam, Kevin and Abigale will all be a bit richer to have had Lola in their lives. My warmest sympathies go out to all.
