Louise Serafini Obituary
October 23, 1925 - August 9, 2022
Passed away in Santa Rosa, August 9, 2022 at the age of 96. Born in Italy, Louise came to San Francisco after the war where she met her husband, Guido at the Fugazzi Hall in North Beach. In 1955, they opened the original North Beach Restaurant, where she created and executed the menus and then retired to raise her children and work part time at the Emporium and Macy's.
She is pre-deceased by her husband Guido Serafini and her daughter Vivian Cereghino. She is survived by her son, Dante Serafini; a sister, Loretta Romani; grandchildren, Nick (Michelle) Cereghino, Mike (Kelsey) Cereghino, Isabella Daisy Serafini (Alex Melone) and Damiano Serafini. Also survived by her son-in-law Ken (Kim Adams) Cereghino; great- grandchildren, Mila, Lucy, Rocco, Violet and Josephine Cereghino. She leaves behind her nieces, Joanne Romani, Georgina Van Horn, Vanda Caturegli, Joanne Cristiani and nephew Luigi Serafini.
She was Nonna to her grandchildren and Nonna Grande to her great-grandchildren. Their well-being was of the utmost importance to her and her legacy lives on through them. Private family services will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Colma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Pan Can Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave. Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 or Salesian Boys and Girls Club, 680 Filbert Street, San Francisco, CA 94133.
