Lourdes Lapuz Obituary
Dr. Lapuz graduated from the University of the Philippines, College of Medicine in 1949.
She headed the psychiatry department in her alma mater (1971-76), at St. Luke's Hospital in Quezon City (1985-2000), where she also co-founded and headed the Institute for the Neurosciences, and at the Medical City Hospital (1996-2002). She wrote and published 3 books on psychiatry and one collection of short stories, and contributed various articles. She moved to California in 2009 and continued to write throughout her retirement.
A memorial mass will be scheduled for a later date.
