Malcolm Squyres Obituary

Malcolm Conner Squyres Born July 1, 1953 to Ellen J. and Roland E. Squyres in Houston, TX, died December 8, 2010. He was employed by and committed to his beloved San Francisco Opera. His musical collection was extensive since music permeated his life, as did his intelligence and captivating quick wit. Malcolm graduated from Strake Jesuit College Prep where he was a national merit scholar and Texas Christian University. Beside his parents, he is survived by younger siblings and their families: sister Sara Squyres, her husband Edward Watson, her children Stephanie Graham and boyfriend Leighton Schnell, and Erin Graham, Erin's husband David Stroupe and children Emma and Zoe; brother Timothy Squyres and wife Karen Brune, children Katy, Maddie and Kevin; brother Dennis Squyres and wife Alma Squyres, children Jennifer, Cristina and Sara Ellen; brother Daniel Squyres, children Michael, and John Conner. The family is very thankful to his wonderful friends, including Kim and John Searcy who are among the many who gave him love and support throughout the years. They are also very thankful to the many healthcare providers at Kaiser Permanente. Malcolm will be missed by many, but has gone on to be with his beloved partner James Prescott Eves.
