Manuel "Marty" Leon Martinez
February 14, 1929 - August 12, 2021
Manuel "Marty" Leon Martinez, 92, of Daly City, California and former Hilo, Hawaii resident, passed away on August 12, 2021 in South San Francisco.

Mr. Martinez was born in Honolulu, graduated from Hilo High School and served in the U.S. Army. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Mr. Martinez was employed with RCA in San Francisco for many years and upon his retirement from RCA, was employed by the Veterans Affairs Administration in San Francisco.

He is preceded in death by his wife Hazel Medeiros Martinez.

He is survived by sisters Dolores Vermeulen of Garden Grove, California; Rose Garcia and Isabelle "Bella" Miranda of Oahu; brothers Anthony (Daisy) Martines of Kailua-Kona and Chris (Toni) Martines of Oahu; sister-in-law Bernice Gabriel of Hilo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation for Mr. Martinez will be held at Duggan's Serra Mortuary in Daly City on Tuesday, August 31st from 3PM-7PM with a Funeral Mass to take place at Our Lady of Mercy in Daly City on Wednesday, September 1st at 10:30AM.
