Marcella Edna Chang Chow, a long-time resident of San Francisco, died on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in San Mateo, CA. Born on September 28,1931 in San Mateo at Mills Hospital to parents Jennie Wong and Toy Chiw, Marcella was raised in San Francisco's Chinatown and attended St. Mary's Chinese Mission K-8 and Polytechnic High School. Marcella worked at Royal Insurance Company after graduating high school.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

While our paths never crossed, they came close.
Born in SF in 1932 I was at Lowell High, when Marcella was at Poly and probably attended the same football games at Keasar Stadium.
If Marcella went to work for Royal Insurance at 201 Sansome Street after high school in 1950, I was there in the claims department 9 years later after Korean Service and UC Berkeley. By 1961 at the Royal I began night law school at Golden Gate Univ.
My heart goes out to Marcella's family for the loss.
