Maria Iturburua Obituary
February 21, 1940 - June 9, 2023
Born February 21, 1940, passed away on June 9, 2023. Known to her family and friends as Maritxu. Maritxu was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Juan Iturburua.
Loving sister to Josefina Jaimerena. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews in the Basque country and here in the United States.
A native of Erratzu, Spain and a proud resident of San Francisco for over 60 years. Maritxu worked her whole life but preferred to travel and spend time with Juan. Mostly visiting their families in the Basque country or spending time in the mountains fishing, camping and enjoying the scenery.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 9AM to 10AM at Duggans Serra Mortuary in Daly City. A funeral will be held at St. Gabriels Church in San Francisco at 11AM. Private burial.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice in memory of Maritxu Iturburua.
