Marie Roth Obituary
GIBSONBURG: Lifelong Gibsonburg resident, Marie L. Roth, 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Mon., May 30, 2016 at Valley View Care Center, Fremont.
Born in Gibsonburg on Aug. 6, 1927, she was a daughter of Jacob and Alice (Avers) Gross. Marie graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1945. Later, on Mar. 22, 1969, she married Burton Roth at the Zion Lutheran Church in Gibsonburg. Burton died on Mar. 15, 1976.
As a homemaker, Marie enjoyed spending time with family, sewing, cooking, and baking the best pies. In the past she had attended Fremont Baptist Temple, Zion Lutheran Church, and Trinity United Methodist Church, Gibsonburg.
Surviving is her sister, Dorothy Krumnow of Gibsonburg; nieces and nephews, Phyllis Peiffer of Gibsonburg, Ken (Emily) Krumnow of Vickery, Karen (Gary) Haubert of Helena, Shirley (Eugene) Nehls of Hessville, Al (Judy) Krumnow of Georgia, Bertha (John) Kitchen of Greenville, Bob (Nancy) Krumnow of Woodville, Denny (Sue) Krumnow of Lindsey, Randy (Stacy) Krumnow of Georgia; step-niece, Marie Nehls of Columbus; many great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.
Marie is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings Sr. Elizabeth Gross, Elise Gross, infant sister, Alice Krumnow, and Helen Hespe.
Visitation will be Friday, June 3, 2016 from 9-11 am at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg where Funeral Service will begin at 11 am. Pastor Max Ulderich will officiate. Burial will follow at West Union Cemetery, Gibsonburg.
Memorial contributions can be directed to the Trinity United Methodist Church or Hospice ProMedica Memorial Hospital.

Marie will be missed she was mom's room mate at Valley View and she always got help for mom if she was having a bad night. Rest in peace and God Bless! I know she never totally bounced back when her sister passed away at Valley View she really missed not having her there. My sympathy goes out to the family. Thelma Miller's daughter Becky Andrews

Marie was a wonderful person,she never said a bad thing about anyone. She loved god,she liked going to church. Will miss her, rest in peace.
