Maritza Onorato Obituary

Maritza del Carmen Onorato
12/12/1973 - 06/19/2024
Maritza del Carmen Onorato was suddenly called to heaven on June 19, 2024. Maritza entered the world on October 19, 1973. Preceded in death by her father Jose Valle, her grandmother Jesus and her father-in-law Dan Onorato. Survived by her loving husband Troy Onorato, mother Rosa Valle, brother Alex Valle and his partner Jessica, and mother-in-law Gerri Onorato as well as her furbabies Duke and Biscuit. Maritza's extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins both near and far were forever close to her heart, including her Tias Patricia, Catalina, Josefina and Teresa as well as cousins Sal, Sandra, Carmen, Monica, Claudia, Roberto, Mauricio, Carlos and Lorena. Maritza came to the United States with her parents and brother at the age of 6. They settled in the Excelsior neighborhood of San Francisco. She graduated from McAteer High School in 1992.
She met the love of her life, her husband Troy in 1998 at The Leopard while working at the Pacific Stock Exchange, Troy on the equities side and Maritza on the options floor. They married on June 30, 2001 at St Thomas Aquinas in Reno, Nevada, the same church Troy's parents were married in on August 27, 1966. They eventually settled in Daly City.
Maritza enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, going to the racetrack to support their horses and she loved being with her family and friends. Maritza was the most selfless person. She always put everyone ahead of herself. She was so giving to her family and friends both here and in El Salvador. Maritza led the annual toy drive and was constantly looking to help underprivileged kids, especially if it could make their Christmas a little brighter.
Maritza was a ray of sunshine. She always had the most optimistic outlook, always happy, always positive and always smiling. She lived her life to the fullest each and every day. If there was music on, Maritza was dancing. She loved a good glass of wine, a designer handbag and sharing a meal with family and friends. She touched so many lives in her short time. She will be deeply missed by all.
The brightest stars burn the fastest, so we must love them while we can.

This came as a shock for me & Peter, Maritza is such a beautiful soul , even by standing next to her you get that vibe of you being a family, some how just drive you to love her. She always so tidy and organize, you see it in the work she always do, the way she dress, her hair, especially her nails, always so neat and polished. Its like she is telling you she respect you and present herself in respectful thought of everyone she see around her, that you are the most important during that time.

I think God loved her so much, and probably need her impactable talent to help him. Today some where out there in the sky born one brightest star looking down on us and especially looking down on Troy and all her beloved family and warm all of them with her memory.

Till we meet again Maritza, you are at the moment really being missed a lot more then you know. Hugs and love my dear beautiful Maritza. Rest In Peace.

Dear Troy, Stay Strong . If you need us, we are here for you .

Wrapped in a wonder of laughter and crazy joy is how I do now and will always remember this soul that was taken to soon. Although time and circumstance cut our connection, the memories of our dances, the handbags, and blingy shoes always hold a place in my heart. That beautiful smile will remain a reminder of what a fun and kind person Maritza was. My deepest sympathies to her family for their loss.
