Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Lawrence H. Brink and Ellen Betty (nee Snoddy) Brink.
Marjorie attended Shortridge High School in Indianapolis, where she was an honor student and an editor of the school's daily newspaper. She was the editor-in-chief of the Annual in her senior year and graduated in 1945. She then attended Indiana University and graduated with an AB degree in journalism with honors in 1949. She was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Mortar Board honor societies, president of the Association of Women Students, and a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority.
Marjorie went on to a long and distinguished career as a consultant who advised on the planning, development, and management of airports throughout the world. She began her consulting career in 1960 and was elected to the partnership of Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. (PMM later KPMG) in 1971, being the first woman elected from the ranks in the 60 year history of the "big six" accounting and consulting firm. Following her retirement from PMM in 1986, she continued working as a director of Leigh Fisher Associates, an internationally recognized airport consulting company.
In 2012, to honor her contributions to the management of airports and her leadership in promoting the cause of airports and aviation, she received the prestigious Downes Award from the Airports Council International-North America.
Marjorie moved to San Francisco in 1960 and lived on Telegraph Hill. In 2003, she married Hank Coridan and lived in Columbus, Ohio, until his death in 2014, when she returned to San Francisco. Her civic activities included longtime support of the San Francisco Ballet.
Marjorie is survived by her nephew Dan Brink, his wife Jennifer, their daughters, and Hank's children and grandchildren. She is remembered with respect and affection by her family as well as by her many friends and colleagues.
She died peacefully at an assisted living home in San Francisco. Her remains are to be interred with those of her parents in Indianapolis. As she requested, there is to be no funeral or memorial service.
