Martin Arthur Frankel, May 30, 1930 – April 21, 2018, passed away peacefully after a brief illness with his four daughters at his side. Marty leaves a legacy with his big heart, dignified charm, kindness, generosity, compassion, hard-work and intelligence. His enduring commitment and love for his family and devoted friends were ever present. Married to his late wife Carol for 55 years and beloved son of Jack and Anne Frankel of San Francisco. Marty leaves behind: brother Rabbi Bernard Frankel; four daughters Cindy Frankel, Lisa Frankel Wade, Jody Greenhalgh, and Shari Rhodes; four grandchildren Laura and Michael Wade, John and Julena Cone; great-granddaughter Laurel; and dear companion Zel Bauer. Marty was a longtime resident of the Bay Area and honored veteran of the Korean War. He will be dearly missed. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, 2:30 pm at Sunset Lawn Chapel of the Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento 95838. Reception will be held after funeral service at Temple Or Rishon 7755 Hazel Ave., Orangevale, CA 95662. A private Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018, 3-5pm in San Rafael; inquire with family for details. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Temple Or Rishon or the temple of your choice.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

condolences on your dad ! My brothers and I just lost our mom a month ago. your dad would always greet me, when I visited my parents at smith Ranch, on the same floor your dad lived.

Martin's brother, Rabbi Bernard Frankel, was a classmate and friend at Lowell High School, San Francisco, graduating in 1951 and he attended the Lowell Reunions.
My heart goes out to the Frankel family for the loss.
