I died (13/February/2017) of congestive heart failure. But don't cry for me, Bay Area. I've had a blast. I wrote this obit before I died so my family wouldn't have to. After all, who knows more about my life than I do, right? To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I am so sad to read of the passing of Martin. For more than 20 years my company, The Talent Fund, was the payroll company for the actors in Martin's commercials. We enjoyed a warm working relationship. He was a tough nut to crack, but once you got in he was as sweet as can be. I send my heartfelt condolences to Martin's family. I am sure you miss him terribly.

I'm so sad to learn of Martin's passing. I had a feeling something happened when I heard a radio spot for a company that he used to produce commercials for and I hadn't heard from him regarding it. I worked with Martin for 14 years processing talent payments. I'm going to miss you Martin and I cried just a little bit....

That was one very interesting obituary, for sure! Not only did it help the family in not having to write one, but it must have been cathartic for Martin. As one who doesn't even wish to have my obit published or a funeral, this inspired me to write one out anyway with the high points of my life for my family to reflect on once I am gone. Lots of people got to know Martin Rockey today. What an interesting man who left much behind in his business life through the ad campaigns. It must have been interesting to be his wife. Condolences to his family and friends and may your memories and this wonderfully written obituary bring you all comfort and peace. Sincerely, Juditha in Santa Rosa

Martin, you have touched several unknown hearts! I too will write my own obit because I know me best. Ms. Nan was a very lucky wife--May you R.I.P.

Martin,
I never met you and have never heard about you, but you have written a fantastic and beautiful obit my friend. I like your style and you have convinced me to follow through on one of my ideas....to write my own obit. I hope to tell you in person one day, but in the meantime "I'll get on with it!" God bless.
