Mary Angeli Obituary

Mary Virginia Angeli (Muzio) December 1, 1927 to February 19, 2006 Passed away peacefully Feb. 19, 2006 with family and friends at her bedside. She was the loving wife for 49 years of the late August Edward Angeli; and the daughter of the late Oreste and Flora Muzio (Paoli). Devoted mother of Barbara Angeli, John Angeli and mother-in-law of Katrina Angeli. Adored grandmother of Audra Angeli-Morse, Adam and Mallory Angeli. Special grandmother to Sean Slawson and step-grandmother to Vincenzo, Gino and Tony Stornaiuolo. Sister of the late Egidio Muzio; and sister-in-law of Lita Muzio, Rose Ferrero and the late Edmond Ferrero, the late Hector and Lillian Angeli and the late Helen and Hans Bruno. Loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her devoted caretakers Purita Ballesteros, Rita San Jose and Vena Manantan. She will be especially missed by her faithful canine grandson "Luigi." Mary lived her entire 78 years as a resident of the Potrero, and was a graduate of Presentation High School, Class of '45. She married her lifelong friend Augie and they settled on Tennessee Street for their entire lives where they raised a family. She truly loved her grandchildren and helped to raise all three of them. Mary loved to cook and socialize with family and friends, as her home was always open to everyone. She was everyone's mentor and friend at the Tennessee Street compound. She has truly left a void in all of our lives and will always be remembered as the Matriarch of our family. Friends may visit on Thursday after 4:00 PM, and are invited to attend the Wake Service also on Thursday at 7:30 PM, and the Funeral Service on Friday at 10:30 AM, at the chapels of VALENTE MARINI PERATA & CO., 4840 Mission St., SF, where services will conclude. In lieu of flowers donations are requested to the Sutter VNA and Hospice of SF, PO Box 7999, SF, CA 94120.

What an absolute love. Mary was one who could socialize with the young crowd just as well as she could someone her own age (maybe even better!) Sure to be missed, always to be remembered. Love you Mary.

I knew your mother when she & her family lived on Mississippi St. in the Potrero. I remember her and her brother, whom we called "Gedino." Her parents were the sweetest people I ever knew, and Mary followed in their footsteps. Please accept my sincere sympathy in your loss.
