I have known Masako for most of my life as a caring, thoughtful and compassionate person. I have memories of her often walking over to my elderly parents' McGee Ave. house a block away bringing fresh flowers from her garden and much appreciated cheer with her visits.
She along with my parents were part of that special "Greatest Generation " from World War II that won the war, transformed this country into an economic power house and who had a special life long bond with each other. They rebuilt their lives from scratch after the World War II interment of Japanese Americans and took care of each other through their final years.
