A great and insightful teacher whose lessons in pedagogy served me well. I will not forget Mike's illustration of Call By Reference as a thrown frisbee, but with a retrieval line tucked on the inside to spool out. I'll be sure to remember Mike at the upcoming the World Parkinson's Conference.

My deepest sympathy on your loss. Michael was a wonderful person and I feel lucky counting him as a friend during and after graduate school. He lives in on my happy memories of him.

We were so lucky to be able to call you brother in law and share so much time together. Your love of the outdoors, deep appreciation for wine and natural curiosity are qualities we will cherish. Plus so many great memories as we travelled together over the years. Your kindness and gentleness were always present in everything you did. We miss you deeply but treasure our memories with you.
