It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael J. Cremin. His soul is surrounded by family and loved ones on his journey. Michael passed away after a valiant battle with interstitial lung disease.
Michael was a first generation Irish American San Franciscan. His beloved parents were Michael Patrick Cremin (co. Cork) and Catherine Mary Cremin (co. Kerry) both deceased. Also preceded in death by his very dear cousin Kathleen Cremin. Michael was born in St. Joseph's Hospital, baptized at old Mission Dolores. He was educated in San Francisco at St. Emydius Grammar School, Abraham Lincoln High School, University of San Francisco (Bachelor of Science,) Golden Gate University (Masters in Business,) and University of California Advanced Management Studies. He was a long term-financial executive at McKesson Corporation and past President of the Employees Association 1980. Also, President of the San Francisco Chapter of the Planning Executives Institute. Michael was also a lecturer in the Graduate School of Business at Golden Gate University. He was also a member of the Who's Who in the pharmaceutical industry and a keynote speaker at numerous conferences. He hosted the first International Corporate Planning Conference west of the Mississippi and was a co-keynote speaker with Tom Peters. Michael was active in charitable organizations his entire life and has received numerous local and national awards.
He is survived by Maria Cremin, his wife of 45 years, until they meet again.
A private interment has already been held. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Emydius Church (286 Ashton Ave. SF) on Saturday September 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM
