Michael Angelo Giannini joined his beloved wife Norma in heaven on January 21 allowing him to be again by her side just nine short days after her passing.

Mike graduated from Washington High School in San Francisco where he was all-city in soccer. He also graduated from San Francisco State University and the IBM Science Institution. Mike was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in Germany in 1955 and 1956.
On June 25, 1966 he married the love of his life, Norma. Mike cherished being the husband of his adored wife for 54 years as together they enjoyed a full life. They were able to experience many cultures and people while traveling to numerous amazing places throughout the world but most importantly were able to establish a wonderful, loving family and home life that Mike described to his wife "as not being able to be surpassed by anything we have seen or experienced in this entire world".
In his work life he was an auditor, accountant, management analyst, computer programmer and department head of his company's Information Technology Department. Mike retired in 1995 as Vice President and member of the executive committee of the State Compensation Insurance Fund where he worked for 39 years.

There was never an obstacle for him to spend time with his children rooting them on at their many events, supporting his parents as they faced their health issues, doting on his beautiful grandchildren, or being by Norma's side without fail through her struggles with health.
