MICHAEL SCALLY Obituary
June 8, 1954 - October 3, 2012
Michael was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend. Survived by Michelle, Christina, Patrick and Dennis. Born in San Francisco and grew up in Daly City, graduating from Jefferson High, class of 1972. He enjoyed cooking, landscaping, fishing and the outdoors, and spending time with family and friends all while listening to the Giants game.
He strongly believed in an open door policy and building a community in the neighborhood. Mike wanted to be there for young people and to make a difference in their lives. He was always ready to lend a helping hand.
A Rosary Service will be held Sat., Oct. 13th at 7pm at The Gateway, 1315 Military West Benicia, CA 94510, and the funeral will be Sun. Oct. 14th at 3pm at North Hills Baptist Church, 200 Admiral Callaghan Lane, Vallejo, CA 94591. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the www.wildsalmoncenter.org or www.nationalparks.org Arrangements by Skyview Memorial Lawn, Vallejo, CA.

It was our great pleasure to meet Mike and his family for the first time at the recent wedding of our son to his niece Nicole Scally. He was a very nice man it was wonderful talking to and getting to know him. We were deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I was so saddened to hear of Mike's passing. He was a "big" presence in many lives and will be missed by all who knew him.

Mike was such a fixture in the neighborhhood whenever we were in town visiting our family, always there with a heartfelt greeting. His loss is so tragic and senseless, we hope you can find comfort in the fact that he touched so many with his love and kindness. He will be missed.

We were extremely sadden and shocked to hear of Mike's passing. We have great memories of him...all of him laughing or making us laugh. He had a great spirit, and his spirit will live on...

My family grew up with the Scally family in Daly City. We were all shocked to hear the news about Mike passing so suddenly. We have fond memories of all the guys building and racing their hot rods in our neighborhood on Hillside in Daly City. Mike and my brother Robby and Pat were always hanging out together. Mike was a great young man, I wish we knew him as he matured into the wonderful man that we have been reading about. Our prayers go out to the Mike's family and friends.

George and I (Babe & JR) McCrum knew Mike from way back in the day in the neighborhood in Daly City and from high school. Mike was well liked and had many friends. We are saddened that his life was so tragically cut short. We would like to express our condolences to Michelle and daughter and to Pat and Dennis for loosing their older brother.
