On October 12 2017, Michael R. ("Mike") Willard died of complications of pneumonia at his home in Palo Alto, CA. Born November 21, 1946 in North Hollywood, CA, Mike was the first child of Hugh and Mary Sue Willard. He attended Harvard School in North Hollywood, where he participated on the wrestling team and was accorded the honor of being selected as a Prefect and named Co-Captain of the Harvard football team. Mike enrolled at Stanford University, where for three years he played Varsity Football. Mike joined the Delta Tau Delta fraternity as a sophomore, and found himself embraced by a high achieving, group of true student athletes, many of whom became life-long friends and business associates. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

My deepest condolences to Robin, family, friends of dear Mike. I just recently found out Mike passed, as I have now moved out of state to Arizona.
I had the privilege to work with Mike at CC&F as well as at Freestone Properties with Mike and Marty.
A stellar boss, mentor and friend. It was a joy to support such a phenomenal boss.
My deepest sympathies to beautiful Robin and family.

When we lose someone, friend or family member, it's not an easy thing to go through. The heart and mind reaches maximum reactions and who can tell how that person affected our life. In writing we may hint how we feel but God knows the depth of our pain. I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you'll find comfort from Psalms 29:11
