Molly Meyer Obituary

Molly Eileen Meyer

Molly Eileen Meyer of Burlingame passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the age of 45. Molly was a beloved elementary school teacher who touched the lives of innumerable children in the Bay Area, as well as many people of various communities, from her beloved Russian River and beyond. Always immensely generous, loving, and gregarious, she made a point to help anyone in whatever way she could. Anyone who knew Molly knows that family and friends meant everything to her. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She truly is that pebble thrown into a quiet river, and the lives she touched are those ripples that extend far beyond us today.

Molly is survived by her loving father William Meyer; dear sisters Michelle Meyer and Maria Davies (Andrew); brothers in law, Cory Covington and Rob Davies; cherished nieces and nephews, Alyse and Kira Covington, Robby and Mia Davies; uncle James Mullane, aunt Elaine Mullane, uncle Spencer Meyer (Linda), uncle Theodore Meyer (Karen); and cousins, Mike (Julie) Mullane, Maureen (Don) Johansen; Justin (Michelle) Meyer; Kara Meyer (Casey), and many other cousins and all of their children.

Molly was preceded in death by her beloved mother and her true inspiration Mary (Mullane) Meyer; grandparents Dolores and Jack Mullane, and Margaret and Tom Meyer; and uncle Michael Mullane.

A Funeral Mass will be held in her parish, Our Lady of Angels in Burlingame and she will be laid to rest at Holy Cross in Colma.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to The Giants Community Fund in Molly's name. The organization epitomizes Molly's passions for youth and baseball to promote health, education, and character development to propel youth in underserved regions.

So sorry to hear of Molly's passing. We will surely miss seeing her at the Russian River. She was usually the first to greet us when we arrived and she always kept us abreast of everything that was going on in the neighborhood. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dearest Molly
How blessed I was to connect with you at All Souls for the years you were there. So many laughs. We had such a connection especially with the Mullane Family. My parents and Jack and Dolres were all friends from Holy Name. My brother and your Uncle Jim went through Holy Name, Sacred Heart and St. Mary´s together. All the stories we had were amazing. The kids loved you and your kindness and nurturing was the best medicine for a lot of the kids. I was sad to see you leave All Souls but new you had more to accomplish in this world. RIP my dear friend you will be so missed, until we meet again.

Hello,

I would like to start off by giving my deepest condolences to Molly´s friends and family. Those who don´t know me. My name is Nicholas Healey. Miss Meyers was my P.E teacher at Meadows Elementary. She was one of the best athletic teachers a kid could have. She created the best activity´s and workouts for kids. They kept us active and engaged. As I graduated and became a young man, I began to meet Molly! I would see her from time to time at family friends parties. Her sense of humor was hilarious and amazing. I will miss her very much and I will always cherish the moments Molly and I shared throughout the years. Below are 2 pictures. The man I´ve become thanks to Miss Myers positive attitude that made me work hard everyday! And also a little boy that first got to know Miss Meyers. Molly will be missed!

With Love & Peace,

Nicholas Healey
