To Morton's Family,
I got to know Mort while I worked on rebuilding his G-scale backyard railroad and I was able to finish it months before his passing. I am happy that I was able to help him more enjoy one of his hobbies before his departure and get to know one of the most kind-hearted and intelligent people humanity has to offer.
To Morton,
We talked for many hours on your passion for flight and piloting. Thank you for the extra encouragment I needed to go back to school for my pilots license. I'll see you in the sky soon, keep flying ever higher.

We meet Morton and Janet in 1986 when I was a visiting scholar at the Stanford Business School. We had a very good friendship for many years and he visited as in Chile and El Salvador. He was smart, joyful and with Janet irradiated love for science and discovery

I was one of Mort's newer acquaintances. I too am a retired physicist (James Webb Space Telescope, etc.) and recognized a fellow co-conspirator in the quest to enjoy discovering life's nuances and technology pleasures. That we didn't know each other longer is my loss. A true force of nature!

Mort was one of my neighbors, and any time we saw each other he always inspired me with his enthusiasm, curiosity, and of course achievements. And, I will never forget his model train setup-I was motivated to create a (lesser) version for my grandkids! Thanks Mort!

I met Mort and Janet, 56 years ago when I was 16, taking a scuba certification class at Foothill College. It was class rule that spouses could not be dive partners, so Mort asked me to be his partner. I was not at all interested in adults at that age, but Mort was not the typical adult. Mort was singular in the quality of his energy, happiness, and curiosity. Lucky me to be at the right place at the right time to meet Mort Grosser.
We lost touch for decades but found each other again. He hadn´t changed, and neither had Janet. Mort was famous in my family as a friend who was both down to earth and astronomically intelligent. My son insisted that his fiancé, before joining our family, had to meet Mort, a family icon. That´s the way was.
In his 80s, Mort informed me with a smile that the men in his family live to nearly 100, healthy and productive to end. I never doubted him.
