Nadine Linnette Robinson, 74, of Pacifica, California, died April 4 at Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco Hospital, San Francisco, California. Nadine was born October 11, 1948 in Moline, Illinois to Richard A. Robinson and Rose M. Schellenberg Robinson. Nadine was a graduate of United Township High School, East Moline, IL, Black Hawk College, Moline, IL and Dubuque College, Dubuque, IA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She began her nursing career in the Pediatrics Department at Illini Hospital in Silvis, IL. In 1986, Nadine moved to San Francisco, where she continued Pediatric Nursing at Kaiser Permanente Hospital for thirty years. Nadine was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church, belonging to St. Mark's Church in San Francisco. She was active in the women's organization. She served on her Church's Council and represented her congregation at national synodical events. Nadine was an accomplished needlewoman, frequently gifting family members with beautifully crafted items. She knitted chemo caps for many of her young patients as well as socks for San Francisco's Street Ministry. Nadine was a collector of angels of many types and an avid reader. She traveled in the United States and Europe to visit family. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by sisters Geanine Lehmann and Diane DeVooght (Art), four nephews, Carlton and Andrew DeVooght and Richard and William Lehmann and twelve great nieces and nephews. Susie, a long-haired dachshund, also survives her beloved mistress. Nadine was known as "Aunt Nadine" by many because of her kind, generous ways and her wry sense of humor. Cremation has been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, April 26 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1111 Farrell Street, San Francisco, CA 94109.
