Nancy Marie Halloran

Nancy Marie Halloran passed away peacefully surrounded by her friends and her daughter, Nora on Wednesday, November 21st after a courageous battle with uterine cancer. A lifelong educator, teacher, friend, sister, mother, and aunt, Nancy loved to travel, enjoy trips to Ireland and to U.S. historical sites. Inspired by her Ursuline education at St. John Ursuline High School and the principles of serviam, she began her teaching career educating the children of migrant farm workers in San Joaquin County and later taught at St. John Ursuline, Presentation, and Burton among others. A proud native of San Francisco, Nancy was predeceased by her beloved mother Jacqueline Halloran and is survived by her daughter Nora Halloran, her sister, Dr. Colleen Halloran (Ward), her brother Tim Halloran; as well as nieces Caitlin Ward, Darcy Ward, Rebecca Halloran, and nephews Dr. John Halloran, Eamon Ward, and Connor Ward. In her final days, she was gratified by the many visitors including former students, teaching colleagues, high school classmates, and family friends.

A rosary is planned for 7:00pm on November 28th, 2018 at Duggan's Serra Mortuary in Daly City. The funeral mass will be celebrated on November 29th, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church located at 19 St. Mary's Avenue, SF, CA beginning at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery with a reception to follow.
