Nicolas Bureau Obituary
Born on October 14, 1980 in Berkeley, CA, he is also survived by his parents, Martha and Gilles Bureau, of Piedmont, CA. His untimely death brought forward memories by loved ones who admired Nic's warm personality, spontaneous energy, and curiosity for travel and culinary adventures. Nic was known to be exceptionally devoted to his family and loyal to his friends. On April 8, 2019, Nic was honored at a Jewish funeral service, led by Rabbi Tom Cohen, at Cimitière Pantin, Paris.

Although I only knew Nicolas through our business dealings, I was always struck by how truly helpful and friendly and fun he was to work with and talk to. I always admired his smarts and his ambition. I was utterly shocked and saddened when I tried to reach him after not talking for quite awhile to learn this transpired. So sad, far too soon. My sincere and heartfelt condolances to the family. I would have written sooner but just found this site honoring him. Many blessings.

Nic was an exceptional person - warm and considerate and extremely smart and loving and devoted to his wife Erica and their daughter Sloane. I am still in shock that he is gone and I miss him, his wide smile, and his advice, which he gave so generously to me.

Our love and thoughts are with the entire Bureau family. Nic was an amazing friend, and I'll never forget our many summers in Santa Barbara together. Nic will be missed incredibly, but remembered always. He has a beautiful family and was well loved.
