Son - Brother - Uncle Husband - Father - Friend
Norm passed away on the morning of July 12, after a long battle with pain and a short battle with liver cancer. He will be greatly missed, and will live on in the hearts and minds of his family.
Born Norman Alfred Ossman with his twin sister Norma, on March 15, 1931, to native San Franciscans Gustav and Celestia Ossman; they were the youngest of six. He graduated Balboa High class of 1949.
On a sunny February day in 1961, he married the love of his life Georgia Lee Schuster at St Paul's Church in San Francisco.
Norm worked for Pacific, Gas & Electric for 38 years; and loved the outdoors from skiing, fishing and hunting to road trips, camping and traveling. He was a member of the San Francisco Turner's for 25 years, as well as the Nature Friends. He measured his success in the friends and family he helped and the laughter from his jokes.
He is survived by his wife Georgia of 52 years, his son Erik and daughter Greta; sister-in-law Betty Winkler; brothers-in-law Larry and Gary Magee; eight nieces and nephews; great-uncle to 18, great, great-uncle to 22.
Memorial services will be arranged later in the season in San Francisco and their new home in Palo Alto for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
