92, passed away peacefully at noon on November 23, 2013 with her family by her side after a brief illness. She was the most wonderful, kindest, generous mother ever.
Mom was born June 17, 1921 in Harbin, China to Andrew and Helen Pavloff, who fled St. Petersburg, Russia following the 1917 Revolution. The family of 7 arrived in San Francisco in 1930, her parents, grandmother, 2 sisters, Eugenia and Marie, and brother George. Mom graduated from Galileo High and met our dad Vincent V. Hardeman in the Richmond District where they both lived.
Beloved mother of Vincent Hardeman (children Daria and Jori), Michael (Marina) Hardeman (children Monica, Nicholas, Gregory and Michelle-dec.) and Linda Romeo (children Yvette and Yvonne).
Mom's second marriage to Robert "Bob" Thomas resulted in 38 exciting years until he passed in 1998.
Mom was an extremely hard working woman, energetic, glamorous, beautiful, "The Queen of Sheba," "Olga from the Volga," and "Granny Goose." After a short career as an accountant at Macy's, she worked for over 35 years at her beloved Hibernia Bank.
She loved tennis, sunbathing, cooking, red wine, the town of Sebastopol and the Russian River. Mom loved her grandchildren and their spouses and worshiped her 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers-in-law Duke Hardeman and Kenny Thomas, sister-in-law Gladys Pavloff and many nieces and nephews.
Mom was an extremely happy person who always dressed to the nines. She spent much of her time at Indian Casinos, taking up gambling at 80 years of age, it was hilarious.
Our entire family would like to recognize Mert Antangon (Florence) mom's next door neighbor in S.S.F. for the past 25 years for being so wonderful to our mother and Bob.
Private services were held at Mom's request.

I met Olga in 1978 when I joined the Hibernian bank as an Administrative Assistant/Word Processor in the Audit department. I immediately had a connection with her and loved her dearly. Always smiling and fun to be around. Since I had left Connecticut and my family, I felt like Olga was a mother figure and confident. She was an extremely kind , generous person and loved by all who knew her. I´m happy to know that she passed away having had lived a long and interesting life. I will never forget "Olga from the Volga"! I just happened to be thinking of her all these years later and looking her up, I found this obituary. I cried. Rest in Peace my sweet friend.

Michael, Linda and Vincent, there are few days that go by that I don't remember my time with Olga. I have several pictures of her and one that I love with her and my mom. We spent so much time together, even after she retired. I met her at the casino and we would spend the day together. My son often took her home after a long day. She loved it. Faith Ross

Michael, Linda and Vincent, Olga and I met at Hibernia Bank in 1978 when I was hired. Olga and I remained best friends all these years. I spoke with her in November. She told me she was going to the doctor and we would get together soon. I am so sorry I was not at her service. Michael left a message on our answering machine which we do not check often. Olga and I talked often on the telephone and got together for our birthday. I will miss her so much. She was like a mom at times to me and like a sister or best friend at other time. I have wonderful memories of Olga and some of the crazy things that she did. She loved her family and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life.

I didn't know Olga. Michael Hardeman arranged for my husband, Sacha, to meet his Mother several times so they could speak Russian together. Through the exquisite tribute to his Mother, Michael made her come alive for me and I experienced her as a True Bon Vivant. What an inspiration! I have never seen a son extoll the virtues and vices of his Mother with so much love and respect. It is a great honor to have participated in this moving ceremony and her great life lives on in our hearts now.
