Owen Eash Obituary

Owen J. Eash Born March 26, 1910, Mr. Owen J. Eash was a truly amazing man. Born on a farm in Michigan he grew up doing dairy chores before school. He modeled the love generated in his family of 11 brothers and sisters and gave it a fuller expression with his unique personality. Mr. Eash moved to California at the age of 18, but retuned to Michigan to help his parents on the farm in the Great Depression. On his return to California Mr. Eash combined his inventiveness, organizational, skills, and drive to found and operate the successful Kleer Kleen Mfg. Co. He, along with his partner R.D. Fish, produced thousands of home furnaces installed in new homes after WWII. But what is remarkable is the way in which he did things. He was a compassionate man who loved his family and a man of courage who cared about his workers. When he left Kleer Kleen many of his crew followed him. Our family was blessed to know his loving spirit, kind heart, wise guidance and gentle personality. In his later years he remained the upholder, protector, guide, and constant in all our lives. When we were with him we were home. When others were with him they knew what it was like to be in the presence of a good man. Often it was said of him, "He was a true Gentleman." He will be living in the hearts of and missed by his children Mike Eash, Robert Eash (Marilyn); grandchildren, Maryellen (Rojelio), Lara (Luis), Josh (Heather); step grandchildren, Zac and Juniper; five great-grandchildren whom he cherished; brother, Clair, and all extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life and gathering are to be held September 2nd, at The Benicia Yacht Club, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
