Patricia Campana Obituary

Patricia "Pat" Campana (Hogan)

June 22,1946 - May 20, 2015

Passed away at her Pacifica home surrounded by family and friends after a long and determined battle against Parkinson's disease.
Pat is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard (Dick) Campana and children Sharon Gladieux (Jeff) and Diane Laughlin (Jim), grandchild Natalie Gladieux, sister Maureen Asaro (Joe), brother and sister in-law Carol and David Inocencio, nephews David and Paul Inocencio and niece Jennifer Asaro. Pat was preceded in death by her parents John and Sophie Hogan.
Pat was born and raised in the Mission District of San Francisco. She attended St. Peter's Grammar and High School. Soon after graduation she married the love of her life Dick and in 1972 moved to Pacifica where they raised their daughters.
A true lover of animals, you could easily confuse her backyard as a bird sanctuary. Pat received many awards for her detailed work on her ceramic pieces. Among her many joys were decorating her home and cooking for her family and friends. Christmas was her favorite time of the year.
Pat loved to watch football, especially during the Coach Tom Landry and Roger Staubach era. She was also known to make a wager or two but never against Dallas. Pat was an avid reader and loved listening to music especially singer Tom Jones.
Most importantly, Pat was a strong woman who was known to express her views quite vividly.
The family acknowledges and thanks Delia Rivera. Starting as a caregiver, she became part of the family. Delia enriched the last years of Pat's life with her loving friendship and genuine heartfelt care.
A celebration of her life will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers please donate to the National Parkinson's Foundation or an animal charity of your choice.
Despite your many illnesses and hospitalizations your love for life will always be an inspiration to all who knew and loved you. You will forever remain in our hearts.

I'm sorry for your loss.... i hope that the words found at Isa. 33:24 brings you a little comfort. Soon, no more sickness will occur. But until that time, may the God of comfort be with you.

I have the fondest memories of Pat. She was my "little sister" at St Peter's Academy and we lived across the street from each other. We remained friends for many years after and she and Dick were really meant to be together. Condolences to Dick and the family. Would be honored to attend her celebration of life.
