Patricia McLean Obituary

Patricia Ann McLean

Patricia Ann McLean was born on November 13, 1946 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the second child of George and Bette McLean. She died on March 3, 2018 in Placerville, CA. She was the mother of two daughters and had two sisters and three brothers. She moved from Toronto, Ontario, Canada to the Bay Area, CA with her family when she was seven where she grew up and graduated from South San Francisco High School in 1964. She was a loving and caring person who always made sure everyone was taken care of. Her family and friends were very important to her. When her parents retired they moved to Cameron Park, CA and Patricia moved there as well. She worked at Marshall Hospital for many years and did Hospice and Home Care where she made a difference in many people's lives. She is survived by her two daughters, Deena and Kathryn(Cenovio), grandchildren, Mareeca, Karina, Kaylie, Kara and Sebastian, her brothers and their wives, Richard(Carol), Robert(Barbara), Brian(Michelle), and sisters Debbie and Flora, her many nieces and nephews, and life long friends. She was preceded in death by her parents George and Bette McLean. Many knew her as Pat or Patty and will be remembered as a kind and loving Daughter, Mother, Sister, Aunt and friend to all. We welcome you to join us in her Celebration of Life on June 23, 2018 at 2:00 pm which will be held at Cameron Park Lake, Cameron Park, CA. Patty, how terribly sad it is to think that you are no longer in our life. Since 2003 when you first began helping my husband and me care for my parents here in Shingle Springs, we were blessed to have you, not only as an outstanding professional and knowledgeable caregiver, but as a dear friend as well. You always knew the right thing to do even in challenging moments with clients who were not always responsive. Even when you were assigned to a day's work of caregiving, you always showed up so tastefully dressed from head to toe including perfectly matched jewelry. No every-day scrubs for you! You charmed us with your wit, colorful story telling and fed us all such delicious meals. I will always be eternally grateful that you were with us the night my father passed away. Somehow, you made it more bearable. We always looked forward to our lunch or dinners together, sometimes in your home or sometimes in ours. You always spoke so fondly of your dear family. To them I wish my very deepest and heartfelt sympathy.

With love,
Margaret Azevedo Franklin
